Angela Chamlee

≡ Category: News |12 Comments

Angela and her husband Tony (aka Wizard from Chapter 68 Florida) were involved in a serious bike accident on December 28th, 2008. They were sideswiped by a driver who was using a cell phone and oblivious to the motorcycles riding in the next lane. Angela has sustained a major head injury and facial lacerations. For updates on her condition please contact any member from Chapter 68, or stop by the All American Club on US 1 in Edgewater Florida if you’re in the area. She is being cared for at the Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach. Chapter 23 will be keeping Angela, Tony and their three children; Ray, Lee and Lauren in our prayers.

*** UPDATE January 7th, 2009 ****

Angela was taken completely off sedatives on January 5th, 2008. She hasn’t regained full consciousness, but is responding to tactile stimuli. The pressure on her brain has subsided and her blood pressure has been stable for several days. They inserted a feeding tube today, which she resisted the past two times they attempted to do so. Her current prognosis is cautiously optimistic.

*** UPDATE February 4th, 2009 ***

Angela was recently transferred to a rehab center in Green Cove Springs Florida. She has regained consciousness and has been able to wash her face, put on her socks by herself, walk with the assistance of other people and answer yes and no questions by nodding her head. She hasn’t regained the ability to speak, but is undergoing therapy. While the news is more positive than last month she still has a long road ahead of her. Everybody’s best wishes are appreciated.
