We lost a brother in Texas on Monday March 23rd.
Hammer from the Granbury BFMC Chapter 39 was killed in a bike accident. His wife Cindy was thrown from the bike and also suffered neck injuries.
Condolences to Hammer’s family and best wishes for a quick recovery for Cindy.

Johnny (Hammer) was my friend for over twenty years. My late husband and I were with John when he met Cindy, became Beths Daddy, and when Jackhammer was just beginning. We watched his dream go from paper drawings done on his dining room table, to a home shop in his study.. to the success that was Jackhammer Tattoos. He came in to Granbury on his bike and where the people feared him, he won them over and made a name for himself. This man was a brother to me, an uncle to my sons and someone who will be greatly missed. He lived each day to the fullest and let nothing hold him back.
I love you Hammer and will miss you.

I am happy to say I have my mark of Hammer on my ankle, and am glad more than ever that Johnny did my one and only Tattoo.

Hammer instantly became a friend when he walked in our bar in Meridian, TX We hit it off with the Ch. 39 Boozefighters and supported each other’s events such as the Teddy Bear Run and any bike run they invited us to. We had our annual National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR) the past 3 years and we can’t describe to you how we felt to see that looooonnng string of boozefighters coming to support our cause. We knew it was near and dear to Hammer because of his bout with cancer and then we lost our beloved friend Doc to cancer. Hammer personally called us to tell us of Doc’s passing…We have a very special place in our hearts for Hammer, Cindy, Doc, Chalkboard, and all the Chapter 39 Boozefighters. Hammer and Doc will ALWAYS be missed…we love all of you…you are in our prayers…thank you for all you do…-Dee & Ronnie

At Jackhammer’s Tattoo is where I first met Hammer. We instantly hit it off, obviously for our love of bikes, clubs and tats. I have had many done over the years at Jackhammers and send everyone I know. Hammer was a stand up guy and I’ll always miss him. On behalf of the Lone Legion, we send our condolences to BFMC 39 and Hammer’s family and friends. I know your looking down on us man, cruising and living it up!!!!
